As a guest lecturer, I am a guest speaker at colleges where budding students aspire to become our next generation buyers and merchants. Paula Rosenblums article below struck a familiar cord with me. Ive had similar experiences in varies lectures where budding future buyers are less interested in the business, and more in the romance of buying. Im mindful that for the budding merchants, its the art and creative aspects of such a venture that they are really motivated. However, in business as Ive often had to remind them, and it is a business, they are in it to make money with their creativity and business acumen.
